Remotely connect to Mac from Windows XP

Is there any free option to connect remotely from Windows to MAC?
I know Microsoft has Remote Desktop for connecting from MAC to Windows but I did not find any free option for connecting from Windows to MAC.
I have latest version of MAC OSX.
Does anybody know about this?

You could always install VNC software to remotely control your Mac from your PC. There are a bunch of free programs available for both sides.

To create a VNC server on my Mac, I use Vine Server. Then just plug in the IP address of the Mac into the VNC software on the Windows side like RealVNC or TightVNC and you're good to go.

I did it with but this RealVNC is too slow. Do you have experiance with TightVNC?
