Hi, im new to this forum... i think its great here that everybody's so helpful fixin each others mac problems! so i figured to give it a shot...

here's how it goes:

For a long time i wanted to connect multiply monitors to my G5 1.8 dual. The problem was that the graphiccard's out were an ADC and a DVI. My monitors are VGA!
i got a DVI to VGA adapter, but its impossible to find a ADC to VGA adapter without payin a fortune... also i found out that they dont make em anymore!!

So i figured, why dont i get a ADC to DVI and a DVI to VGA, and put them together and make it work... but it didnt!!

So now i wanna buy a new Graphic card... found one already!

So my question is: Will this work in my G5?

Radeon 7000 AGP Graphics Card - 64Mb DDR Memory
• 64Mb DDR memory

• AGP 4x speed - Also supports AGP 2x speed.

• Tested in G4 DA.

• Bootable in OS 9 and OS X.

• DVI, VGA and S-video(TV) outputs.

• S-video/Composite adaptor.
for G4 & G5

My current graphic card and other info:
nVidia GeForce FX 5200 AGP 64mb

machine model: PowerMac7,2
CPU type: PPC 970 (2.2)
3GB DDR SDRAM PC-3200
Bus speed: 900Mhz

Hope that its enough info for u guys to help me!'

Thanks so fare :)

Your Mac's Specs
Macbook Pro CD 2.16, 2GB ram, 256MB Video.
Spec wise that should work. but you would be taking a performance hit with the graphics. If you could I would spend a little extra and go for an ATI 9600 or 9800 AGP Card for the mac version. That would give you the ports you want and give you a performace boost when it comes to games and video editing and such.

good luck!

That seems like it would work fine to me sSs.
