Does anyone know if there's a way I can connect my iPod touch to my University's wireless network? The network here requires a username and password, but my ipod only prompts me for a password, therefore not allowing me to connect to the server. Any advice?

Do you need to set up a VPN in order to connect? That's the way my university connection is. I had to set up the VPN and then hit "connect to VPN" in the menubar and put in my name and password. When I got my iPhone, I set up the VPN under Network in in settings.

Would the VPN "server" be the same name as the one which the wireless connection is named? I can connect to the wireless on my macbook pro, but that isn't through a VPN, that's just through the wireless network...

But you mentioned you have to enter a user name and password. Where/how do you enter that information?

All universities should have a Academic Computing Center (or something with the word computer and help) ask those dropouts.

Most likely your school is using 802.1x security. The iphone/touch don't have this currently. They will have this in the new software update.
