NewsFire better than Mail?

With Newsfire now free, can somebody tell me what is so great about the program? It seems that it is a RSS feed viewer, but doesn't mail do the same thing? Can somebody tell me the benefits of downloading the program?

I think they do the same sort of thing, though newsfire is just for RSS and its aim is simplicity.

for me it comes down to splitting my email and RSS feeds up which is why I like it
