Best Resolution?

I just got CoD 4 today, and I have a 2.4ghz Santa Rosa Macbook Pro. I noticed the gameplay is a little choppy on the 1440x900 setting, so I was thinking lowering the resolution would help that a bit.

Can you guys offer any suggestions as to how I can figure out which resolution would work best for me? I don't know much about it. Thanks!

Your Mac's Specs
iBook G3, 500MHz, CD-ROM, 12"
try 1280 X 720, (someone correct me if I'm wrong with the second number) But anything with 1280 should work and still look decent.
