my imac keeps shutting itself down?

it happend 3 times 2day, when i am on the net, then the screen goes black and the computer wont even start up, i must unplug and then restart?

any ideas?

Not much info to go on to help you. No idea what your iMac model is with its specs, your exact OS X version, what you did before this started happening, if you changed anything to your set up, etc.

Post more info and we'll see what's up.

I had a bad power supply cause this on mine... Bought new one - replaced - problem gone..

Yeah it does sound like the power supply but depending on the iMac model he has, he could have a free repair.

And we need to asses if it isn't software, just in case.

I'd start by reseting the PMU and the NVRAM, if that doesn't do it then take it in to an Apple Store.
