I searched however didn't see this yet. If it's been on before, I apologize.

I have a retail website where I accept PayPal in addition to Google Checkout and a merchant account. I'm just on the verge of switching to Mac and then I see this today. The options at this point apparently are to use FireFox (which has had some issues lately) or use IE7, rats!

Hope they get this fixed quickly!

I wouldn't let that deter you. There are add-ons available for Safari that add that functionality. I would use Safari over IE7 any day.

You gotta larf at some of these comments.

That phishing idea is the worst part of using IE 7 and think many, many users would have disconnected it. Take the usual precautions, report all spoof email to PayPal and do not get Safari, or any browser, to remember account and password details of financial transactions and you will be okay.

Sorry, but that is just completely wrong. I run two ecommerce websites, accepting paypal, google checkout and protx, and all three modules work as well in safari as they do in firefox.

Plus, the SSL certificates on both ends of the spectrum (my site, and paypal/google/protx) are more than secure enough.

Whoever did that article needs his head looking at

I have not either seen any issues with Safari and paypal...

I think the real issue is Paypal themselves! People are always finding flaws withe system, but in their defense they are great at giving your money back if you suspect some scam or payment phishing :)
