Second louishen's recommendation.

Use an OWC Mercury Extreme CPU upgrade in my Gigabit Ethernet and runs Leopard solid as a rock and as a result of the 2MB L3 cache super fast. Your Digital Audio will handle it well.

Great. Your firmware does need to be upgraded to 4.2.8 and probably with f1 after that, same as my Gigabit Ethernet. To do this have to be running OS 9, go to the Apple web site and download the firmware upgrade and the install instructions, and install including hit the programmer's button.

This MUST be done before you fit the CPU upgrade. Here is the link to the upgrade. Go down the page and see Power Mac G4 Digital AUdio 4.2.9 and hit the blue number and download the instruction page also:-
