Where is the DMG from. This is commonly a damaged DMG file or one that has become corrupted.

Do other DMGs work - or just the one?

Is there an alternative mirror download

is the dmg on an external drive? i have a simple thing for you to try...copy it to your mac hd & run it...should work (provided the dmg is complete & not damaged)

hmm...thats pretty weird...i usually only get this error when i am trying to run a dmg from my external drive...you should try repairing it...right click on the file & open it with disk utility...then select it there & click on repair...also repair your mac hd just incase...

one more thing you could try is making sure things on your mac are running ok...get this program called "maintenance" & run it...hopefully it will work

A Leopard dmg? As in a DMG file of the Leopard DVD? From two different sources?

Aaaand we're done.

Btw: If I had a dodgy dmg file that was giving me codec overruns, I might think that I shouldn't be trusting dodgy illegal dmg files from the shady corners of the internets.
