You could always delete it and then reinstall it.
Get a program called AppZapper or AppDelete and uninstall using those to get rid of preference files and anything associated with that program before reinstalling.
What program specifically do you want to "reset"? Perhaps somebody can point you to a preferences file/folder that you could remove, effectively resetting it to its default settings.
