I'm having trouble uploading songs onto my ipod nano and people said the best way to fix it is to either reinstall itunes or change my syncing settings. does anyone know how to do this? thanks

my itunes won't upload songs to my ipod and when i plug it in it doesn't show up on my desktop or itunes
