MY THREAD ABOUT THE DAMAGE:
http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95082

I have ordered a new 20inch iMac and it will be here by monday. I wanted to transfer my data from my Macbook harddrive to this new iMac. the iMac will have Leopard and the Macbook has Tiger (not sure if that matters) but becuase i cant see the screen to login and switch sharing how else can i transfer the files over? is there any other way apart from finding someone else with a mac and switching harddrive over ?

Tahnks very much,

Aaron

Use Migration assistant on your new iMac.

Its in Utilities and will take you through the process step by step. You will need a firewire cable to connect the two macs

You will not need to see the screen on your old mac to get this to work
