I care about what's best for my Canon printer. I love it in every way. I always take the manufacturers advertising (Trust only genuine Canon inks and paper for best quality!) skeptically. A friend I have who runs a photography business says that the paper is formulated for the inks, and you should buy canon paper. Is this true?

I have not really experimented, but HP and Kodak seem to work very well.

I had HP, and it was pretty mediocre.

I own an HP printer so I buy HP photo paper, but only paper that is glossy. For matte paper I buy a lot of different brands, but I think for glossy paper you should stick to your printer brand.
