I am having an issue with my external monitor. It is an HP LP3065 connected via DVI to my Macbook Pro. It worked when I first got it a few days ago, but this morning suddenly stopped. I checked the cables, power, etc... Everything is fine. When I am in displays, it shows 2 LCDs, not the new monitor anymore. Any help is appreciated.

I have the exact same issue...but my issue is due to update 10.5.2 .

If you updated recently, you'll have to downgrade to 10.5.1 until Apple fixes the annoying issue.

How do I perform this downgrade?

Sorry, I don't know how to, I just backed up all my data and re-installed Leopard, then downloaded 10.5.1 . If there is an easier solution, I don't know what it is.

I don't have any advice to offer but this is one big bug if you ask me, I don't know how something like this could be overlooked. How long has this been a known issue?

It's been an issue since last Monday for me ... I didn't really care for 10.5.2 until Apple released the MBP keyboard update and won't let me install it unless I have 10.5.2. It sucks that to solve one problem (keyboard) I have to bring another unsolved issue (monitor & 10.5.2).
