Can anyone help?

I'm running 10.4.11 on an 800 MHz PowerPC G4 and I can't put it to sleep and/or have the timer set to sleep automatically.

This happened before and after reinstalling the OS.

Everything else seems to work just fine.

Thanks for any help!!!

It's not the most efficient solution but I've found Upgrading OS X to be more of a pain than it's worth. When a new system comes out I usually backup everything and do a clean install of the OS. So far this has avoided all the problems most people see when upgrading.
Sorry I don't have more specific troubleshooting issues but try doing a google seach for "os x sleep problems" or "os x sleep library preferences" and perhaps you will find something to help you.

Best!
