New Keyboard Firmware Update!!

Apple have just launched a new firmware to fix the missing letter problem with Mac Book Pros when the machine has been idle the first letter would be missing.

So far so good but only had the update a short while.

Just thought I'd let you all know.

Keyboard update

I haven't downloaded/installed the keyboard update for the macbook pro yet but saw that there may be special instructions for how to install it.

Has anyone dled/installed this update yet? Is there anything special I'll need to do to install it etc?

My computer didn't need a restart, but I did it anyway just to be on the safe side. Update's been working great for me so far.

No need to restart, the update installs the firmware in applications > utilities folder, called keyboard firmware.

The update process should run this file automatically but if not it can be run from there
