Is this normal?

Every time my computer goes to sleep and when I wake it up - my wireless internet connection is disconnected. I have an AEBS, is this how it's supposed to work? Kinda like the same as messenger for mac, if you're not using the computer, then it goes to sleep and when you activate it again it's no longer connected (which is normal apparently). Just want to make sure if this is normal otherwise I will be returning the AEBS router. thanks.

Not normal. Your laptop should wake up and discover the wireless point automagically. Go into your System Prefernces, Network and delete your current Airport location. Make a new location. That might clear its brain.
