I recently purchased a 24" iMac. I installed Windows Xp so that I can play some PC games. I used VMware Fusion to install Windows. The first game that I installed was Final Fantasy Online. It installed fine no problem. When I go to play it says "Failed to initialize Direct 3d".
My iMac came with a ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro which I looked online and is good for gaming so why am I having trouble with something as simple as Direct 3D. Can anyone please help I would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to Mac-Forums.

You'll need to run Windows on a separate partition (use Bootcamp).

Virtual machines (VMware and Parallels) do not yet support 3D graphics, I believe the highest stable support is only DirectX 8.
