• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

hey all. I noticed at the end of the credits for a show called The L word on Showtime it says " Edited with final cut pro" and has the apple logo. i thought this was pretty cool. i work with fcp regularly and it is good to see it being used on real shows of high production standers.

for those of you who do not know , the L word is a very modern , sheik show about lesbians and their everyday life. almost in the style of sex and the city. it has very high production quality standards. check it out on Showtime.

That's pretty cool, I don't get Showtime so I haven't seen it but I always love to hear when Apple products are used in a production. I know that David Fincher prefers FCP (he's the director of Se7en, Fight Club, Zodiac, etc.).
