Is mine SHARED?

Hi guys;

Sometimes when i open my FINDER, i see on the left column other's peoples computers listed as SHARED. Sometimes i can even get into those computers and see their files!

I dont want my MacBook to be shared... how can I know if somebody else sees me as a shared computer or not?

I assume some of my neighboors dont even know that their computers are shared... i dont want to be one of those cases.

What do do?

Unless you turned on sharing in your system preferences then they can't.

Head to System Prefences and check out the Sharing preference pane to verify.
