Hi, I'm trying to capture video from a DVD. I am completely new to video editing and have no idea how to do this. I have the new update for iWorks as well as FinalCut Express HD. Any help would be great!

You mean you want to rip video from a DVD to your computer? You could Google "DVD ripper" and it would probably return HandBrake as an option. Of course, this is only for legal applications. Don't steal!

If you're looking to import the video from a non-copyrighted DVD, then I would suggest getting yourself a copy of Handbrake and ripping it to the h.264 format and then importing it into either iMovie or Final Cut for editing.

Thanks for the info. I am trying HandBrake right now. I am not trying to copy DVD's or anything like that. I have a presentation and I want to use a scene from NBC's Frasier.
