I was updating my flip4mac software and it said the update was ~20mb. This seems a bit... huge! Is this legit or trouble?

Thanks,

I have seen a few popups now and then that tell me that my Flip4Mac is out of date and should be updated. I have been leery of them - is the web site from which the popup emanates simply trying to fool me into installing some malware? Perhaps the best bet is to go to the Flip4Mac web site and see for yourself how large the update is. Get it from the source as opposed to getting it indirectly. That way, you know for sure that it is the real thing.

The download is, as louishen says, 11MB but when 'unpacked or unstuffed' is just on 25MB.

not updated mine and it plays everything OK, so can't see the point in a 20mb upgrade

OK, that all seems like good advice, thanks. I went to MS Flip page, but couldn't find a list of the updates. I've seen that on other sites though. I did find this which seems to indicate that the WHOLE program is the size I saw. Maybe the update is the whole program...?

Forget going to the MS page to begin with.

Go directly to the Flip4Mac home site.

I have the freedown load, and think you can only get it from MS. Isn't that weird?! That's why I was there, anyways...

Flip4Mac is free. Period.

Including free from the people that make it, and at their site, the first item on their download page.
No need to search your way through the MS site for it.
