Ok here's the first real dumb question from the newish Mac owner

ugh I know this is a stupid question but how do you make it eject a CD.......I went to install an application and it's in, but I can't figure out how to get the disc out......it's a Snow iMac 500Mhz G3 OS X 10.4.11.....TIA

Some of the Mac keyboards have an eject key on the top right side.
But you can always drag it to the trash. The trash can icon will change to an eject icon.
Works for anything you want to eject, including Volumes, etc..

If all else fails, start up Disk Utility (in your Utilities folder) and eject from there. This has never failed me in cases where nothing else seemed to work.

Ah thanks all, dragging it to the trash worked......just when installing Tiger it spit out the discs automaticaly, and my board doesn't have an eject button.....but the one I intend on buying for my Mac does.....thanks again !

You can also click on the icon for whatever disc you have loaded while holding down the control key.
