I use an old Mac IISi and have never had a problem with the Chooser until now.

When I open the Chooser to set up printing, I always choose Inactive in the Apple Talk program.

However, for the first time, and never having made any previous changes, I got this error message:

Apple Talk is in use by "File Sharing Extension." Are you sure you want to make it Inactive?

I clicked OK, and also clicked on the Deskwriter icon (yes, I use an old Deskwriter too), and then clicked the paper icon, but not the modem.

I also checked my Extention folder and everything was there and seemed normal.

However, when I tried to print -- nothing happened.

Does anyone know what is wrong and how I can fix it?

Thank you.

Make shure the printer is pluged into the printer port not the modem port
and that apple talk is not on or useing the port ,check the connect via
ethernet control panel. And you have the right printer cable ,some are one way
and others two way as to how they talk to the printer. You may have to reinstall the chooser.
