I recently got Office 2008 and everything looks pretty good so far. One problem I'm having is with line spacing. Even though I have line spacing set to default (single space) it looks like it's 1.5 space. It's really annoying since it spaces everything out more and takes up more room. Plus, I don't think my profs are going to accept it if they want single space for a paper.

Does anyone know why this is and how to get it back to normal?

ARG! Never mind. I figured out that they have paragraph spacing set to a default of 10pt. I don't know why they put these ridiculous default setting on, like the 1.25 right and left margins. It's so annoying because I have to go through and reset them every time I start a new document.

10 pt adds 10 points of space with each hard return. (?!)
0 (zero) pt is more conventional.
