Leopard here

This morning when I started up my laptop the speech command was on. A black box surrounded each window it was reading.I turned off the speech command but my macbook pro won't stop reading everything out loud. I tried restarting, didn't help. Another thing I noticed is that all of my Fcontrol keys are mixed up on my wireless keyboard. On my laptop they work except for the volume control keys.

Any suggestions here? Is this a virus?

You obviously hit the combo keys that switches it on. See the screenshot above.

Nah just accidental combination of keys switched it on. That many short cuts it happens as MHC advised.

I tried EVERYTHING but Universal Services. This has to be an issue for others. Actually had a hard time finding the right answer.... grrrrrrrrrr. But you had it right.............. a great relief. Thanks.
