Battery Draining

I was dimming my screen and the battery percentage went from 18% to 4%. Is this connected or is it purely the battery? My computer is 11 months old. It drains about 1% a minute. It charges at about the same rate.

I have no idea which MacBook Pro you have, you didn't post any specs or anything. Maybe you can have a look at this 15-inch MacBook Pro Battery Exchange Program.

I have a MacBook Pro 15 Inch. My battery does not match up with the recall, but thanks so much.

In our household we have an iMac G5 (mine) and a G4 iBook (which I don't use). The battery in this 5-year old iBook doesn't hold it's charge anymore, it needs to be replaced, and that's basically the only experience I have with a notebook.

I am surprised that the battery life is this poor in a relatively new notebook though, especially in a MacBook Pro.
