I solved the problem I had. I had to remove/uninstall the Brother software to get rid of the LOGINserver error.

I then downloaded the new drivers from Brother website and installed. I had a little trouble printing so removed the printer and re-added it. Then I had to do a OS Update which found new Brother printer drivers. everything is all good now.

Yes I am also glad your problem was solved, but I am even more happy that you took the time to tell people how you went about solving it for the people in the future.

Most people just say "never mind, fixed it" which really bothers me, because when people search for that topic later, then all they find the answer to is "never mind fixed it" and that doesn't really help them much. So thank you again for providing the answer to your problem :)

I too had the same problem. To get rid of it I:
clicked on my harddrive
opened the folder 'library'
opened the folder 'Printers'

dragged the folder 'Brother' to the trash.

re: LOGINserver quit unexpectedly

I have the exact same problem and I'm happy to know it's because of my Brother software. Only thing is, my computer is completely frozen so I can't go about uninstalling and reinstalling the software to correct the problem. I'm rather computer illiterate, so all I know to do is restart my computer, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Any suggestions? The error message is permanently on my screen and reads as follows:

"The application LOGINserver quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click relaunch to launch the application again. click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple."

I had this problem recently too, after installing the stuff with my brother printer. Deleted all the printer crap, re-installed the brother stuff only, and got the scanner driver from the brother website. No problems now.

Thanks ^^

Thanks atmx. I followed your advice and the problem was solved. While it wasn't harmful to my mac, i was getting annoyed by all those messages. Now i am glad they are gone.

Thanks a lot!

I totally agree with PowerBook G4. I have many times tried to fix a problem by going through forums and found out the same problem PowerBookG4 was talking about. So thank you sincerely KiwiJenn.
