And I am curious about the music I purchased from iTunes. I am assuming there really isn't a way for the thief to authorize the iTunes purchases without my iTunes account login info?

I am about to go buy a new one today, should I assume I can sync the purchases to the new iPod with no problem?

Thanks. :)

You should be ok, you need login and password to authorize a computer in iTunes and you should just be able to sync your tunes as usual with your new iPod.
