I just bought a new ipod and I am filling it up with songs. Can anybody recommend me popular or well known songs?

It would probably help if you told us what sort of music you listen to. Wouldn't want to be recommending rap if you're more of a pop or country kind of guy ;P

I love the cotton eye joe song. You should get that one and make a playlist of just that song over and over again. :)

Well, it depends on what kind of person you are and what you listen to.
I'm kind of out there music wise, but some of my favorite artists are Coheed and Cambria, Mindless Self Indulgence, and Frank Sinatra.
The first 2 aren't very old groups, obviously Frank Sinatra is, but he's timeless. Im sure people will still be listening to him 50 years from now.
I also like some of the soundtracks from musicals like RENT and Moulin Rouge.

Just depends on who you are.
