First Post from a Switcher

So my Black MacBook arrived yesterday, and it is totally cool. I havn't owned an Apple Computer since I got my IIGS in the 3rd grade. Been using PCs since then, and I'm glad to be back.

Anyway - one quick question. Is it going to slow my MB down to dump my 40gig music collection onto the internal hard drive? It sure slowed my old Compaq desktop down, so I've got an external for my tunes, but it would be so much more convenient if I could have them all on the main drive. Thanks for the help!

Nah i don't see any reason for it to slow it down... it's just more data on the HD is shouldn't interfere with anything

Will not SLOW anything down.
Best to use external drive as backup drive.
