a program to join .avi files?

I've got two .avis about 60 minutes in length each and i want to join them together to make one .avi file.

imovie wont let me import .avis they are still grey not black in the import window, and i dont particularly want to have to convert them. and even then, it takes forever to do the thumbnails in imovie and then you can hardly scroll because of how large the files are.

I'm after a app to join these two .avis together? anyone know of one?
