I poofed the "jump to Apple" icon in the dock - how to get it back?

I had the "jump to Apple" icon in the dock, but I was cleaning up and deleted it. how do I get it back? I can't find it anywhere.

Go to the apple website, and drag the URL to right side of the dock.

I was wondering if that would do it. But it didn't work...

It does it for me... Are you going to www.apple.com, then click hold on the little Apple icon immeadiately to the left of the url... then drag that into the right side of your Dock, next to the trash??

It works.. I've just tried it multiple times.
It also works for any subsection of Apple's site.

RIDE is correct. You don't drag the URL itself, you drag the little icon to the left of it.

I also think you have to do it with Safari. If you do it with Firefox it doesn't work.

It was safari. I use FF as a default. It's fixed now. I thought I was doing something really stupid for a while! Just using FF. Go figure.
