The Migration assistant. (utilities > migration assistant). It will transfer all your settings for you automatically. Not sure about apps though. You will need a firewire cable I think...

You can get Migration assistant to move your preferences, mail, files and applications

I have a new power mac and an old G4 from which I want to transfer apps. I don't have the original disks for most of the apps. I tried to use Migration assistant, but my old G4 has 2 hard drives, and MA only sees the one that has no applications on it. I tried to drag and drop them, but got an error when I tried to use them.
Is there any way to get those apps without a disc or serial #?
Thanks,
