I just bought an eMac( second hand with OS 10.3.4 Panther) and when I Log on after shutting down etc, everything goes back to the default setting, the dock, the wallpaper etc. All my apps and files are still there but it extremly annoying and i cant set everything back only to lose it an hour later.

Thanks

That's an absolute nono.

I've read some members here got things back to normal by renaming their Home folder back to what it was before the change and restarting.

And in case you really can't stand your user's name... This is the way Apple says it should be done.

Just create a new user account (administrator level) of your own name and use it. Then set everything up as you like it, then delete Rosa. If Rosa had documents or cookies or things you wanted to keep then copy them off and put them back into your account. However, your account still has the same apps that she did in the apps folder, just drag them to your own dock.
