My MacPro (MacPro1.1 Dual-Core Intel Xeon 2.66 GHz) running OS X 10.4.11 views a shared server as Windows format although all the other computers on the network view it as AppleShare format. (Specifically under format my computer says the server is "Windows sharing (SMB/CIFS)").
I recently wiped the hard drive and reinstalled the system software which is when the problems began. All files on the server that don't have program associations appear as unix executable files.
Any ideas? I haven't been able to find much about this problem in the forums or on the internet. Even a point in the right direction would be helpful.
Thanks!
Kate
