How many charges before the MBA battery needs to be replaced?

Hello:

I know the MBA is a new product, but I have a quick battey question.
How many charges can the macbook air battery handle before it needs to be replaced? I believe the iphone can handle 300 charges.

Curious if it would last a year, two years, etc.

This is one of those question where you will get more opinions than a concrete answer. For each person does things a little different. Some may leave the unit plugged in most of the time, where as other may use battery more often. Some will discharge the battery a lot, while some will only let it discharge some before a full charge. So for a good answer, look at your habits if you have a laptop.

Agreed. It's sort of akin to asking how many miles a new car will go before it dies. The answer will vary depending on how you maintain it and how hard you are on it.
