Its an odd question to post on a mac forum site but I'm curious as to whether or not it is ok to leave the server on all the time. This also goes for EyeConnect which is a mac equivalent to WMP11.

Don't really know what it is you are asking or mean by "safe"????

But, all of my personal computers since the early 90's have been run 24/7.
The two oldest ones currently in the line up are 4 & 5 years old.
Still am in touch with the person that has one of my 7 year old home built rigs. It was set up with an ATI AIW. They also leave it on 24/7 for recording scheduled TV shows.

Highly recommend at a minimum it's attached to a good surge protector.
And if your area is susceptible to low voltage, a UPS that regulates voltage, since low voltage coming into your house can also cause failure of the power supply in your electronics.
