Graphic card

I just added a "Ati Radeon 9600pro mac/pc edition" to my powermac G5 (2.5 DP) and connected it to my 30" apple cinema display.

The computer starts but when i get the grey startu-screen (with the gray apple) the "wheel" turns a few times and it freezes.

After 5 minutes i restarted the computer, but same problem.

I don't know if it's relevant but all 3 pcix busses are used for my protools-system.

There are reported driver problems using the 9600, particularly if you are using Leopard which post does not say.

I'm using OS 10.4

Should i install the drivers with another graphicscard in the computer and then switch the cards afterwards or??
