converting video for itouch

Hi, I'm trying to watch movie clips etc on my itouch(updated software - which is great) but when I convert in itunes there is no sound on converted files. What am I doing wrong?

Stupid question i know but, does the touch have external speakers or do you need to use the headphones?

You need headphones. There is no speaker like the iPhone.

What are the files to begin with? They need to be converted into MP4. But, we really can't talk about too much of this on here.

I get excellent results with ffmpegX. It's the fastest, too.

I got DVDVideosoft's Free Video to iPhone Converter. (it already says its free) and works perfectly great. For FLV I use FLVVideoConverter. Got them at www.download.com
