I have 3 external drives on my mini. I do not want 2 of them to show up on my desktop but I do want the 3rd to be there. Is there any way of hiding the 2 drives I do not want to see but them still show in finder and be accessible? Shutting these drives off or un-mounting them is not an option.

I know that but it will hide all the external drives. I only want to hide 2 of the 3.

Hide them all and put an alias on your desktop to the one you do want to see.

Will the alias re-appear every time I reboot? Thanks for the tip. I will try it out now.

Should do - it's a file like any other. Just happens to be a shortcut file.
