Icon in Menu Bar

I installed Netbarrier and Virus Barrier from Intego software when I first got my Macbook, but have since deleted the programs through the drag to the trash method. Yet the little castle icon remains in the menu bar at the top of the screen to the right (next to the volume, battery, etc.). I have tried to drag it into the trash via the command drag method described in the help menu of finder. BTW I have searched spotlight and cannot find any remaining files that might have been hanging around. I am a relatively new convert and am still learning the ropes so if any could help I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks.

Is there still a preference pane for these in system preferences?
