Restore GPT Partition?

I had no backup. I deserve no sympathy.

I was trying to set my drive up so that I had Leopard, XP, and a data partition. Started up with OS X DVD and accidentally created three empty partitions instead of 'adding' the extra partitions. This killed my OS X startup partition as well.

Does anyone know of a way to recover my original OS X partition thus saving my OS X install? I do not need to save anything else. Failing that, is there a way to recover that data and save to an external disk/another partition?

Thanks for your time.

Sorry for the bad news but you need to install OSX again. But for recovering the data on the mac partition you can try some data recovery tools. I havent tried any of them myself so I cant advise you on any specific ones.

Yes, you are correct. I did have to re-install OS X. But I was able to get the data off using Data Rescue II. Seems like a good product, if a little expensive.
