...Or colors only if you are from USA.....

I have a 17" iMac 1.83 Ghz 2GB DDR2 SDRAM
I am using Parallels in trial mode, running Win 2K and I find that the display is only 16 colors and 640 x 480 pixels. I am assuming that Windows hasn't detected the video driver on the iMac (could be wrong here), and wonder how I can improve the display. Any ideas, please? Cheers Mitcherooney

What happens when you right-click the desktop and choose Properties, then click the Settings tab? You can set the number of colours in there. If it's stuck on 16 colours then you probably haven't installed Parallels' drivers. It may also be a limitation of the demo.

Thanks for your comments knightlie. When I choose properties, the display is only 16 colours (cannot change this) and the resolution is 640 x 480. This I can alter to 800 x 680 but that's it. Can you tell me how I install Parallels' drivers, please? Cheers M

There's an "Install Parallels Tools" menu option somewhere which should do the trick.

Cheers knightlie. You're my hero! The 'install parallels tools' was lurking under the actions heading. I've done that, and it's sorted. Stunning! Thanks very much. M
