Problems opening web pages

I've been having lots of problems lately with web pages not coming up. I'll get page cannot be displayed in Firefox, open up Safari and it loads no problem. Other times I get page cannot be displayed in Safari and it loads fine in Firefox. How the heck does this happen, and is there anything I can do to fix it?

Have you tried clearing your cache, cookies, etc?
