cant import with aperture

All i want to do is import my photo library and for some reason aperture just wont let me, I can navigate to the folders in my library but everything's grayed out. I checked the supported formats and there's nothing in my library thats not supported, so I don't understand. I've read on other forums that there's problems importing pictures that were taken with certain camera types but I've used a variety of different camera's over the years and I have a hard time believing there all unsupported. If anyones got some advice Id really appreciate it.

I had the same problem...took me several hours to figure it out. Update to the latest version of Aperture.

After Update...

File>Import>iPhoto Library
