Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro and am on the brink of loading up XP, but my cautious nature has dug up mention of firmware update requirements prior to doing so.

I'm running 10.5.1 and my firmware is:
Boot ROM Version: MBP31.0070.B05

from what i can make out it was the older MacOs's that required the firmware update, is that right?
Do i need to update mine?

The 1.4 update was for the previous gen MBP's.
Available firmware updates will show up in Software Update.
You can also check it out at Apple here.

Thanks bobtomay, much obliged. I'm now wrestling with creating a XPsp2 disc from my old XP disc, as discussed in another thread by another poster with the same problem, aah the joys. Where would we be without the brilliant knowledgable users of this forum.;D
