Just purchased a new 24" iMac. I'm looking for a decent surge protector with a backup battery supply. I know that maximum continuous power on the 24" iMac is 280W. Do I need to have a surge protector that has a maximum wattage to support the 280W continuous power w/ the 24" iMac?

Any recommendations?

i've used APC products for years for everything electrical that cost over 50 bucks. i've also used one of their battery backups. never had any problems.

not sure about your specific power requirements, but i can't imagine even a rudimentary battery back up wouldn't be able to support an imac.
