I accidentally deleted my work folder and got many files back through Data Rescue II.
Unfortunately, I cannot open many of the files.

Is there a software that can try to repair these .ai files so I can open them?
I can only open files less than 1 meg.
I remember seeing file repair somewhere....

Try opening them up in acrobat professional or preview to see if the data is still in there

The only other way is to open up a good ai file in a text editor, see how the file begins and ends

then open up a bad file in text editor (like BBedit) and see if the end of file is missing

you may be able to get something back by repairing the damage by hand

the end of file should look something like this

I copied the trailer from one to another to see what would happen.
But nothing happened (I don't know how to write code).... this is too advanced for me... thanks anyway
