Hi,

I'm new to the Mac. I have 2 Mac computers. Both run OS/X with the latest updates.

Hope this is the correct forum for the following question.

I'm having a problem with ftp on one computer.

The problem is, when I try to connect to an ftp server, I don’t get a prompt for a user name and password. But only on one of the computers. On the other computer it queries me for the usr/pw and then works okay.

I'm using the program Camino 1.5.4 as I read supports ftp. I don’t know what may be different. Any suggestions?

TIA

i cant tell you what is wrong, as I have never had this happen to me, but try using an ftp client like cyberduck. It makes accessing ftp sites extremly easy and quick.
